2 Weeks Old!
Well we have successfully made it to the two week mark. Nola & I are trying to set up a routine (as much as she let's me). She wakes up, eats, poops & toots, sleeps and we start the cycle all over again. :) When Jay gets home from the academy, he spends time with her (okay he tortures her, but she is getting used to it). Nola really is a lot of fun! She makes a million faces and Nana says we watch the Nola show all day. She is kind of like an old person in a tiny body. She sprawls out on the bed and one of her favorite things to do is STRETCH. It is the CUTEST thing ever! From the second day Nola started picking up her head. She really is advanced for her age :)
Nana & I take her for walks as much as we can & I can even hear Nola say, "Go Mom! Your reunion is in 10 weeks" to help me get up the big hills. We have had many visitors over the last few weeks as you can see from the pictures, and many more people have called to talk to Nola. I definitely think she knows Grumps' voice and she will meet him in person on Tuesday. Nola even got to meet her new cousin, Trip, on the webcam and the competition began over who could cry the loudest. I think they were cheering Geaux Tigers! Go Hokies!
I absolutely love being a mom! I didn't know you could love someone so much. I still can't believe she's ours and at times it seems like I am still babysitting. I am very lucky to have so much help from my mom, my mother-in-law, and Aunt Peppy. I'm a little scared to do this by myself. It will all be fine and I am trying to enjoy every minute because she get a little older every day. Before we know it, she will be peeling her own crawfish and screaming, "Throw me somethin' Mister!"
FYI: It only took 9 days to get my ankles back. Thank God!!
