Dave, Christy, & Tripp went to DC so Dave could work and run in the army 10 miler. They invited us for the weekend and since Jay had Matt's bachelor party, Nola & I headed to DC. We left early Sat morning and were there by 10am. Not a bad drive at all. The hotel was AWESOME! It had an indoor pool so of course the kids went swimming in their little innertubes. SO cute!
After swim time, we decided to take the kids around town to sightsee a little. We went to the White House and they had fun in front of the gate. While we were taking pics some people started running across the front lawn and there was something going down. We're not sure what happened but someone got arrested.

After walking MILES and MILES we headed back to the hotel to catch some of the LSU game. What a nail biter! But the Tigers pulled it out! After the game we headed to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. YUMMY!
They screamed about sitting in their strollers but for some reason they would sit in each other's strollers! Wish we would have figured out that one earlier!
We met up with my friend Wendy from LSU. She is due in a few weeks (she's since had the baby at the real time of the update; a little girl named Lilli Welch-more to come) Our hotel was right around the corner from her sister who is also pregnant and oddly enough had her baby the night we were in town. CONGRATULATIONS!
Sunday we woke up early to try to catch Dave at the army 10 miler! There were sooo many people we couldn't find him running but met up with him after the race. The day was truly beautiful and there was so much to see at the after party. We spent most of the time in front of the big stage watching and listening to the army morale unit who travel around and put on concerts for the army members. They were Awesome!
