Week 37

3 weeks left! Jay & I have been packing like crazy so we can try to be settled before the baby comes. We got a lot done this weekend. Thanks to my in-laws who came over and helped a lot! We are planning to be out by this Friday and then we can focus on the baby coming. My mom is also flying up Sunday and we can't wait!

Dr Report: I went to the dr. today and I am 1 1/2 centimeters dialated. Yeah! You have to get to 10 centimeters before the baby comes but it is nice to know that things are starting to happen. I could either go soon or later. Let's hope for after July 1st! The baby's heartbeat was 150. Back up again! Is it a girl or boy??

What is happening to Baby(from Babycenter.com): Congratulations! Your pregnancy is now considered full term — meaning your baby is developmentally ready to handle life outside the womb. (Babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 weeks are post-term.) Your baby probably weighs a little over 6 pounds at this point and measures between 19 and 20 inches, head to heel. Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children are born blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

What is happening to Me(from Babycenter.com): The next couple of weeks are a waiting game. Use this time to prepare your baby's nursery or to take care of tasks you may not get around to for a while after your baby's born. Take naps and catch up on your reading while you can.Have you noticed an increase in the frequency or vividness of dreams lately? Anxiety about becoming a parent can fuel a lot of strange pregnancy dreams. You may be getting a lot more Braxton Hicks contractions now, and they may last longer and be more uncomfortable. Sometimes — when they start to come frequently — you may even think you're in labor.

Won't be long til you are holding the baby in your arms- please kiss that bundle of love and Joy for me- I am looking forward to seeing pictures and hearing of all the "first times" you can't even imagine the influx of love that comes over you as parents- your child will deepen and heighten everything- the minute you deliver, you will not be able to imagine life without your baby. Just enjoy each moment- life flies by. We love you lots- we are wishing for the best and praying for the blessings.
