11 Months!
"Our little sausage...I bought this for Nola at the LSU crawfish boil and when I turned on the baseball game I put it over her PJ's. I had to take it off because she was sweating buckets...those Clay genes...GEAUX TIGERS!"
"Best thing ever created..I don't have to freak out about the dirty table and she could eat right off of it...too bad I forgot our pink seat cushion...I had the guy scrub the chair!"
"Since my pool has high alkalinity and low PH...Grandma and Grandpa bought me my own pool...THANKS!"
June 5th came quickly! Nola keeps us very active these days as she crawls EVERYWHERE and fast! She is cruising the furniture a lot but is afraid to let go. We have been practicing walking and she took one step to Jay but that's it. She goes down when we let her go. I'm sure she'll get it soon!Guess how many teeth she has? If you said 2, you're right. We can't believe the top 2 haven't cut yet. Where are they??
Jay and I actually put her on the scale this morning and she is 19 1/2 pounds. We didn't get her length though and she doesn't go back to the dr. till we get back from New Orleans.
Let me tell you how smart she is....she hands me her duck when we ask her to get it and she even crawled across the room and got her boo boo bunny and I didn't even point to it. She LOVES books and reading. She reads them upside down...so funny and she LOVES turning the pages and opening and closing the books. She is definitely playing more independently these days and she is sooooo funny to watch. Jay and I hide while we hear her being bossy to her stuffed animals and watching her wrestling her little dog. We crack up! She's going to be a teacher!
She is also starting to get attitude. She doesn't like if we tell her she can't have something and she has starting slapping and pinching us so I am guessing time out is coming soon. This doesn't happen that often and she is the happiest baby for the most part. I had mac and cheese the other day and she came over with the hugest smile ever to try and get a bite. What a ham! She definitely know how and when to turn it on.
Less than a month till she's a year! We can't believe it. She is so lucky she is going to have 3 first birthday parties..one in NJ, one in New Orleans, and one in Florida...stay tuned for your invites!
P.S. I have 9 days of school left! Today and tomorrow we have half days due to a heat wave. Imagine New Orleans weather with no AC in class...I start suffocating just thinking about it!
