3 More Days!!!

Nola, Heather, & I went up to the high school this morning and ran the track. Heather was amazed by all the "big hills," blue jays, and chipmunks in NJ. It was really cute to talk to her about it. When we got back Nola wanted to show off all her books and they were taking turns reading to each other.

While the Rieckes went to the city, Nola & I went to Babies R Us with Dana to help her register. Then we went to BuyBuy baby to get Aunt Caitlin's present and we found this BPA free cup with straw which Nola seemed to LOVE!

She wouldn't put it down and even took it with her to the grocery. However, during her little melt down when we were leaving she threw it from the cart and since it is BPA free it broke. We were both really upset. :(
So, if anyone is looking for a last minute birthday present, maybe we could try again.

Things seemed to get better when we got home and made Nola grilled cheese for dinner. Earlier in the day she mentioned she wanted to make a chain for the days left till her birthday.

She had a lot of fun crawling around and swinging it and we took one off before she went to bed!
We have to get up early because we are going to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island with the Rieckes. We can't wait!!!

Wow, gone for a week and had to hit "older posts" twice to catch up. Glad to see you are having so much fun with your cousins! Can't wait til you get here and glad to see you have shorts and bathing suits to save you from the heat. Guess your chain is down to 2 links now. Like mother--like daughter. Can't believe you are almost a year old already. I'll write to tell you happy birthday on Saturday. Love and miss you. Love, Nana
P.S. Hope your hair lightens up down here. Then you'll really look like your mom at one. We'll have to sneak off the sun hats. HA HA. Have fun at birthday party #1.

Like every morning I check your blog for the updates. Your are just too cute for words. I can't believe in two days you will turn **ONE**. I went through your blog from the day you were born to today. I cried alittle because I don't know were the first year of your life went, and how everyday you changed. You have brought so much joy into my life. Can't wait to spend your birthday together at the Big Party. Hope you, mommy and the Rieckes have fun today at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Hugs and Kisses. Love Gramdma A
