Road Trip to Pittsburgh!

We got to Dave & Christy's late Thursday night and woke up early to watch Tripp for the day while Dave & Christy went to work. Poor Tripp had a fever and wanted to be held all day but we took him with us to meet Dave at the ROTC picnic at Pitt University!

Pulling up to the picnic!

Chowin down on some pizza!

"Alright Games...Tripp what do we do? The bag must go in the hole, Right??"

"Sounds good to me! Let me have a try!"

After the picnic we toured the Cathedral of Learning.

"Okay class, today we are going to learn about pi."

SMILE!

"Nola, why do we ALWAYS have to sit in the front row?"

Tripp & Aunt Kellie

The Dads! Check out Jay's LSU shoes!

Saturday we watched the LSU game at 11am. They pushed it up due to the Hurricane so we enjoyed Bloody Mary's and nachos in the morning! After LSU's HUGE win and the kids' naps we decided to go to the park. Well, Christy wanted to go to the wavepool but Dave vetoed it so off to the park we went.

Nola & Jay feeding the ducks

Nola was scared and Tripp was tasting the duck food!

YUMMY!

Kiss & Hug

Sunday, Dave needed to work on law school work and Jay wanted to relax so Christy & I took the kids to the zoo! Besides, LSU's win, this was my favorite part.

After seeing the elephants!

They LOVED the aquarium, especially yelling at the fish!

After 3 hours at the zoo we had to hurry home to prepare for a BBQ. Here's Nola on Tripp's power ranger.

Monday we hung out for a little while longer before we headed out!

FUN TIMES!

Thank you sooooo much for such a fantastic weekend!
We hope to do this often! Get ready for Hershey Park next summer!

On the way home we stopped at Calebra's (camping/hunting store).

Since Jay didn't make it to the zoo he took Nola around to the exhibits. It was a really cool store, but we didn't buy anything!

Jay really wanted to get this for Nola, but I vetoed it! Sorry, hope the pic is enough!

MORE PICS

So, we are home safe and sound. THANKS to everyone who sent thoughts and prayers to my family in New Orleans. We are not sure of the extent of all the damage yet, but everyone is safe. And that's what matters! I'll keep y'all posted!
