HAPPY (BELATED) Mardi Gras 2009!

Nola & I babysat Dan Michael when we got in town!

I am sooooo sorry for the delay, but for those of you who don't know I was slammed with a BIG sinus infection (my first one) when we got back from New Orleans. Flying sealed the deal! I went to work Wednesday and by the end of the day I thought my head was going to explode. I had a high fever and I couldn't stop shaking. (I have only been sick one other time since Nola was born!) I stayed home from work Thursday (with frozen vegetables on my face) and should have Friday too but since I already missed too many this week, I went to work sick. Enough David Clay! Anyway, I am just feeling better today (Sunday). I think Jay is about to kill me because I have been so out of it but he has been very loving and has made sure I have everything I need.

MARDI GRAS 2009

What can I say? It was a blast! We weren't sure how Nola would do with the loud music and bands, but she ABSOLUTELY loved it! She is the true definition of her name and she can add Miss Mardi Gras to it. She caught over 7 big bags of beads and stuffed animals, which of course I would not allow home(we took a few things)...so we donated it all to Uncle Mikey for his throws next year!
