22 Months!

We can't believe Nola is almost 2! She is talking like crazy! She talks paragraphs, most stuff we understand and some we don't. She knows all of her colors and many shapes (circle, triangle, rectangle, and heart). Tonight she actually said, "Rectangle, Mommy-she saw rectangular windows on a garage-then when I told her how smart she is, she said "High Five Mom!"

She still loves reading! One of her favorites right now is Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It's kind of long so I have to do the short version and she likes to look for the "pitch and catch" in the beginning over and over...it's so cute!
Nola also loves pretend! She is OBSESSED with her tea set and wants to play tea everyday. And everyday she does the same thing..she puts Jay and I and her stuffed animals around the table cloth and gives us tea with milk and sugar. It is precious but she won't let get it on video...not sure why (see video).

We have to admit our little sweet Nola has definitely hit a whole new realm! I think we have officially hit the terrible 2's. I find myself asking, "What happened to my sweet little girl?"One example: Last weekend Nola had 3 pairs of shoes to choose from and she screamed about each one. When I say screamed she was turning purple, screaming crying, shaking and bubbling at the mouth. I seriously had a flashback to my childhood and thought Nola was David (Sorry Dave!) Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

She has been whining a lot lately when she doesn't get her way. I am afraid the time out chair/step may be coming soon :(

Two weekends ago, it was really hot so we took out Nola's pool!

Nola was afraid of the water coming out of the duck at first, but once we showed her she started running up to it and putting her hands in the water!

"One more time!"

"Get the duckie! Get the duckie!"

We babysat the Atwell girls on their parents' 5th anniversary. We had fun eating pizza and hanging out!

"Mom, this feels just like lotion...I'm gonna try some under my arms!"

"Nola, I want some of your orange lotion!"
