Negotiations

One of my goals this summer is to potty train Nola. So we took her to pick out big girl panties. I really wanted her to get to pick them out but there was only one kind in her size. She didn't seem to care because she loves carrying them around the house (still taped up) and counting them. There are 7 pairs. She moves them around her room...in and out of her drawer, to her high chair and her crib. It is really cute and funny! However, in exchange for the panties, Nola had to give up her pacifier. I really thought it would be a struggle but not at all! She has asked for it a few times but I remind her she got panties and pacifiers are for babies and she is fine! We hope to start potty training next week. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
