Since history was in the making and The Andersens knew they needed to be a part of it, we decided to throw a Saints/Mardi Gras Superbowl party! Jay cooked up some of New Orleans favorite dishes: jambalya, gumbo, pulled pork (not NO) and of course King Cake for dessert.
Nola wanted to help so badly so we let her be the stirrer.
Beginning of the Gumbo...doesn't look so tasty, but it was DELICIOUS!
King Cake
Jay made 5 king cakes so we could share with everyone. We each took one to work, sent one to Nola's school with beads, had one at our party, and then we also hosted a mom's club mardi gras party! Great Job Jay with all the cooking. You did an awesome job!
Aunt Heather's Christmas present was a hit with the kids!
Sweet Annabella
Like I said, the masks were a hit with the kids.
We know what to get you for your birthday Mr. Mike.
Nola Partying!
Aunt Heather got the baby in the king cake
The hosts!
Mr. & Mrs. Ferriola...
who won the 3rd quarter pool. Way to go Mr. Ferriola!
Thanks to everyone for coming and making it a memorable night.
Sorry to those who are still pouting about not winning the pool. Maybe next year!
