Alstead Farm & Easter Egg Hunt!
One of our friends told us about Alstead Farm in Chester, New Jersey. They have different pickings all year long, and they also have a cute Easter event. We went with the Atwells, Danas, Iannacones, and Cegelniks. Right off the bat the kids got to feed the animals. Thank goodness Sam brought carrots. We have to remember that for next year.
We paid a certain price for the kids to get a bracelet and then they could do everything on the farm. First stop was the corn shed. None of the kids wanted to leave. They all screamed when we pulled them out!
After the corn shed, we got in line for the hayride. It took us to the other part of the farm where there were all kinds of Easter things for the kids to do.
She freaked when she saw the Easter bunny so we didn't even try to take a picture. We headed to the maze so Nola could find some Easter eggs!
The weather was so gorgeous that I took Nola to our town Easter egg hunt. They put out over 6,000 easter eggs and they divided the kids into groups (0-3, 4-6 & 7-10).
everyone was off! As soon as we started my competitiveness kicked in. I was screaming, "Come on Nola, get this one!" When she answered, "I only like pink!" I started freaking. "What?! You have to get as many as possible." She even picked up a few eggs, shook them, and said, "Nothing!" and threw them down. I was twitching inside and had to think fast so I said, "Oh, Tripp likes blue and orange!" She said, "Oh yeah!" That was it. She picked up a bunch more to fill her basket. The whole hunt took about 3 minutes, but 3 very intense minutes.
