HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOLA!
Well, we made it to the 2nd year! We can't believe our little girl is 2! She has been waiting for her birthday party all week and every time she touched a bag in the den she asked "Is this for my birthday party?" When Nola woke up she got to eat blueberry pancakes (her choice) on her birthday plate and BOY, did she cleanup! After playing for a while, she took a nap while Jay and I did lots of last minute things before the party!
Nola's Party Dress!(Within 10 minutes she was in the mud, but no worries, it came out!)
This year we decided to do an Ice Cream theme party. We had chicken nuggets and mac & cheese for the kids and for the adults we had turkey, ham, and roastbeef sandwiches as well as Chicken cutlet sandwiches, different salads and for dessert: An Ice Cream bar with every topping you could think of.

Ashley & AshleyJay & I got Nola a kids picnic table and umbrella from KidKraft. It came with little stools and a striped umbrella. It is so cute & it got lots of use at the party!
After eating the kids jumped into the pool for a swim.
We couldn't have asked for a better day!
After swimming it was time for the PINATA!
"My turn...Nola's turn! I want that candy!"
I wish I could say that Nola cracked it open but after all of the kids getting two turns and it not breaking, Jay finally cracked it open. (And Nola still remembered this part this morning!)
After more swimming, we got everyone together for cake and ice cream!

Nola Anne, I can't believe you are 2! It doesn't seem possible that it has already been 2 years since I played live in nanny. You are BEAUTIFUL and I love you to pieces! Glad to see that you had a wonderful party and can't wait to have our ice cream social when you get here for labor day. Miss you lots and love you tons, G-Momma
