Nola's First Swimming Lesson!

We had to cancel Nola's first lesson last week due to rain. Today the forecast was calling for more rain this afternoon so we pushed up her lesson. Miss Stacey, her teacher, came recommended by a friend so we decided to go for it. Nola will have a 30 min lesson each week and the goal is to get her more comfortable with the water! I was a little nervous because Nola has kind of been freaking when she gets in the pool. She likes to go in and out rather than stay in a swim.

Miss Stacey was so patient and knew exactly what to do with Nola. She brought little water animals for Nola to throw into the pool. She also used them to get Nola to kick her feet and to blow the animals around the pool.

The pics are taken from a window because I didn't want Nola to see me. Miss Stacey said the kids do better when it's just one on one.

Nola did great for her first lesson.
She even learned how to blow bubbles but she wouldn't do it for me today.
I hope she keeps it up!
