I'M 2 1/2 !!!

Nola is doing a lot of great things right now. She absolutely LOVES school. She goes 3 days a week half day and she is with Aunt Peppy on Tuesdays & Thursdays. She LOVES show & tell on Wednesdays. She knows her days of the week and months of the year (see videos below.) Nola knows all of her letters and can pick out numbers 1 and 3. We are working on the rest.

She has an incredible memory and remembers everything, even things from last year. At this time, she is NOT Potty Trained. We are finding this to be the hardest thing so far. We have tried everything...panties, picking out her own potty, m&ms, stickers, you name it..we've tried it, but we're always open to more ideas. We think it is all about control and she doesn't want to go. We keep telling her that they don't make diapers or pullups for 3 year olds. We HAVE to get her potty trained before September or she can't go to St. Elizabeths.

Nola still LOVES reading books and singing songs. She's into pretend play and has a great imagination. She loves to play check out and Memory. She loves watching Dora the Explorer, Diego, Imagination Movers, Blues Clues, Kai Lan and Olivia.

This is typical of the behavior we've been seeing at her age right now. She is also a typical 2 year old. She has many tantrums when we ask her to do something she doesn't want to do. Time out seems to work or telling her she will lose tv time.

I hope we get out of this stage soon...and please pray that she is potty trained soon.
