Accidental 9 Month Pictures

Yesterday we went shopping and we passed a place that I was possibly thinking about getting pictures taken later on, but when we got there they said we could come in free if we took pictures that day. So we ran in Macy's, bought an outfit, fed and changed Nola and went back for the photo shoot. The pictures speak for themselves and they asked us to sign a release so that her pictures could possibly go on the wall in the studio or on some advertisement material. What a ham!

BYE NANA!!!

Nana left early this morning...even before Nola...so you know that's early! We just want to say THANK YOU for everything! We all had a great time! We can't wait for you to come back soon for the crawfish boil & bring Grumps' too. We really miss him! We are so glad you got to see all of Nola's new tricks and maybe next time she'll be walking! We love you!!!

Here is a video of Nola playing soccer! She is definitely going to be good at sports. She gets that from me. HAHA!

Look What I Found?

"Italian tradition is....New Tooth..."
"New Shoes...Check out my new Kicks!
And yes I am looking for an agent or, at least my dad is!"

After dinner the other night, Nana was holding Nola and she told Jay & I to come feel something in Nola's mouth.....HER FIRST TOOTH! It was so cute..I got all teary. We gave her a teething ring and a few minutes later she popped it. What a tooth! We can't get a picture yet, but we wanted to share how much Nola LOVES to brush her teeth. She goes to town!

Nola's First Easter!

Sorry this has taken so long, but Nana has been here since Friday and we have been keeping busy every day and I have had a lot of school work.

Saturday, we had the LSU Gumbo Cookoff. Nana & I made Gumbo Friday night, we entered it under Nola's name & Jay served it at the event. We came in 3rd! Not bad and we all had a great time.

"Hanging out at the Gumbo Cookoff!"

More Pics

Nola's first Easter was so much fun. Saturday night we got her basket ready and dyed eggs for the pox game. Nola woke up Sunday and was so excited to see her presents. After playing, we dressed Nola in her BEAUTIFUL Easter dress and went to church where she flirted with everyone around her. She is such a HAM! Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Keith and Aunt Heather came over to play and we all went to dinner.

Aunt Heather asked Nola to be a flower girl in their wedding next year and me to be a bridesmaid. We are all so excited!

"I am just too cute in my dress!"
"Thanks for my car Grandma & Grandpa"
"Watch out! I'm coming to get you!"
"I LOVE my bunny and my Sesame Street DVD. Thanks Nana & Grumps!"
" The Easter Bunny brought this for ME?!"

Update: YEAH! Nola has finally grasped the sippy cup. It's so funny hearing her suck water out of the cup. She is also more confident with standing and holding on to the furniture. And, she has started pointing. She's soooo cute!

St. Patrick's Day Parade!

"Look Nola, the firetrucks are coming!"

"But can I have some of your pretzel first."
"The STAR of the day!"
"Nola & Mom"
"Yeah a parade! Wait, where are all the cabbages, carrots and potatoes?"

Today we went to Nola's first St. Patrick's Day parade in Morristown to celebrate her Irish heritage. The three of us went with Aunt Caitlin, Bailey, and we finally got to hang out with Aunt Siobhan and John. We all had a blast even though it is much different than the parades we are used to. Nola was screaming "Hey Mister!," but all she got was a plastic football. Despite the lack of throws, we all loved the Irish dancers and green spray-painted poodles. Oh, and Jay loved the corned beef sandwiches!

Easter Bunny!

This afternoon I took Nola to see the Easter Bunny at the mall with Aunt Susie. Nola was the perfect child, as always. In front of us was a little 3 year old girl who was soooo happy before the Easter Bunny got there, but when she had to sit next to him, she became a different child. She was screaming her head off and threw herself off the bench. I did not laugh though because I thought I may be getting a glimpse into the future.

I have been home with Nola since Friday because Jay's been sick and I have been having so much fun with Nola. Everything she does is amazing. She is giving kisses now, starting to wave bye-bye a little, and she even cried for me when Jay was holding her. This tells me that she is becoming a good manipulator, but we love her like crazy!

I don't want to go back to work!!!

MS. DRAMA QUEEN!

We put Nola down for her morning nap, but she was a little too noisy. Jay and I checked on her and this is what we found.

We immediately lowered her matress.

Later, Nola continued to practice her new trick, STANDING! What a poor little soul!
DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!
She is SOOOO dramatic! It's too funny now, but I think it might get old really quickly. I wonder who she gets that from?!

P.S. Jay had to take his first sick day (since I've known him) from work because he has acute bronchitis. He has quarantined himself in the middle room since Thursday. He keeps pacing around, saying how bored he is, so it's pretty funny!

8 Months!

Where are these months going? We can't believe how fast our baby girl is growing up! Nola has been doing a lot of fun new things over the last few days. She is now an independent crawler! This girl is "On a mission" at all times. It is so funny to watch her determination. She knows what she wants!

She has also pulled herself up for the first time tonight. Nola is unstoppable. Right now I am LOVING this stage because we are moving nonstop while we are together and I feel like I am burning a lot of calories.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I had my first heart break the other night. I was feeding Nola her bedtime bottle, just like every night, when Jay came downstairs and Nola wanted to go to him. He hugged and kissed her and gave her back, when she screamed SO LOUD. It was as if I was hurting her. We tried this three times, all unsuccessful. She only wanted her daddy. I gave her back to Jay and went to ShopRite and cried the whole way there. I guess she really is a Daddy's Girl! :)

In other news....Uncle Keith and Aunt Heather got engaged on Leap Day. Yeah!!! Aunt Ne and Uncle Dan found out they are having a beautiful baby BOY! That's right "Little Dan!" Nola can't wait to meet her new cousin. We are also having someone come give us an estimate on renovating our kitchen. Keep your fingers crossed we can do it in our price range!

Enjoy the videos!
