Nola's Big Girl Bed & More!

We decided it was time to turn Nola's bed into a toddler bed. The first night Nola was supposed to sleep in her bed Jay & I had plans to go to dinner. Of course, Nola didn't stay put. She ended up sleeping on the sofa.

But the next day she slept in it for her nap. She did really well. She walks around talking about her big girl bed. The next transition will be to a full size bed.

NOLA UPDATE!
  • She knows almost all of her letters and numbers.
  • She constantly says letters she sees in signs and on shirts. It's really cute!
  • She loves books, school and singing!
  • She loves Kai-Lan, Dora, Max & Ruby and anything on Noggin.
  • She's still not Potty-Trained!

Jeffrey's 2nd Birthday

We love birthday parties! And this was a big one! Jeffrey was turning two and his cousins Andrew & Ally were turning 3. They had a magician party!

Lisa & Alison

Nola didn't waste any time going straight for the face painting. This time she wanted a fish on her arm.

"Look at my fish!"

"Isn't it darling!"

" I adore my new tattoo!"

After dinner it was time for the magician!

He was great with the kids!

Birthday Boy!

The magician got the whole Corrado family involved in the show!

"Where's Mr. Frank?"

"I LOVE this show!"

"Yay! Cake Time!"

Ally was so excited she turned around with tears in here eyes and said thanks mom. It was the cutest thing!

Each kid got their own cake...more to sample!

They each got their own birthday song!

MARDI GRAS 2010

After way too much drama (our Thursday morning flight got canceled because of the Wednesday snow storm), calling Continental 24/7 trying to find something, anything, we finally got to leave on Saturday afternoon. We got a flight out of Laguardia, connecting in DC, and made it to New Orleans just in time for Endymion.

Passing time on the plane!

The pilots asked Nola to come tour the cockpit.

They tried to get her to say Welcome Aboard on the mic but she was a little shy!

We made it just in time for Endymion...wouldn't be Mardi Gras without some Popeyes!
Already pooped after one parade!

When we got back to the hotel...Nana left for a little while...we thought she went to buy chocolate, but it was an even better present...Uncle David, Aunt Christy, and Tripp surprised us and flew in for Mardi Gras!

In the morning the kids opened their Valentine's Day presents from Nana.

Goulashes! Thanks!

We love them!

Sunday morning the kids were ready to start partying!
Throw me something Mister!

My cousins Jennifer, Gretchen & Heidi came in from out of town with their kids. It was great to see them!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hanging out in between parades!

In between floats!

The Crowleys..my poor godson had to wear a cast on his leg. But that didn't stop him from partying! What a trooper!

Monday morning we headed to the French Quarter to walk around.
Of course, we had to have some coffee and beignets!

Delicious!

I second that!

Tuesday, Mardi Gras day, was a first for the Andersens and Clays. We usually leave but decided to stay until Wednesday. Nola was Abby Cadabby and Tripp was Woody!
They LOVED the snap n pops!
