Playdate, Babysitting, Package & We're Off!

Today we went to Ashley & Christopher's for a playdate. We were joined by Carlye, Sydney & Ashley for lunch and fun. We all had such a great time! Thanks for inviting us!

Ashley as Snow White.
Look at Sydney!
"Sydney, I'll cook and you clean, OK!"

"Sydney what do you want for lunch?"

Ashley was kind enough to share her dress up clothes with everyone.

Carlye just wanted to hang out!

Here is Ashley as a model!

Fairy Princess

Nola was her princess assistant. It was so cute!

Thanks for such a great time! We'll have to do again soon!

After lunch Nola and I ran home to meet Uncle Jeff who was dropping Jeffrey off for a little bit.

Doesn't he look like his Papa?

Jeffrey & Nola

Nola was sad because she had to take a nap while I stayed up and played with Jeffrey. He was so good. He only 6 months old but he was rolling all over the place and getting all the toys. Time flies! I can barely remember Nola at 6 months.

After Jeffrey got picked up, I packed and when Nola woke up there was a package from her G-Momma!

"Ohhh! What is it?"

"Yeah an LSU outfit just in time for the game Saturday and a Saints shirt with Bling!"

I LOVE IT! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!

Nola helping to pack her new clothes!

Okay, so we have a lot going on! We are headed out tonight to visit Aunt Christy, Uncle David & Tripp in Pittsburgh for Labor Day. We are soooo excited! We will try to keep posting while we are away!

Please say prayers that Hurricane Gustav does not hit New Orleans. Everyone is kind of freaking because it may be headed that way and it is the 3rd anniversary weekend of Katrina. I will keep yall posted. Family and friends may be evacuating this weekend. Let's hope not!

Dinner Date!

I've been wanting to freeze a few meals before I go back to school so I made lasagna. I made one with real meat (so Jay was happy) and one with turkey and whole wheat pasta and since I was making so much we had the Smiths and Foxes over to taste test.

Nola being silly in her high chair. We had to put her there because every time we gave her a cracker Bailey would take it right out of her hand and Nola would freak out!

6 Days!

Only 6 days till the Tigers play!
What better way to get ready...we made chain.

Isn't she soooo cute!
GEAUX TIGAHS!!!

Suckers!

Jay has been working his butt off outside so today we spent some quality family time together. We went to church and then headed over to Babies R Us to get a few things to finish baby proofing our house and Aunt Peppy's . While we were there Nola was running around (she made a new friend & No we didn't set up a playdate). She found the toys and it was all over. Jay and I sat back and watched her. (It was like that movie with the Olsen twins trying to pick an ice cream and every flavor they past they said "I want this one..no I want this one..). But when she got to the popcorn toy she pulled it down and was running around the store. Of course, we fell for it and put it in our cart, along with another sippy cup . What suckers we are! They had little baby Nikes which we were going to get too but we put them back.

When we got home Jay went back outside and Nola napped. After nap, she played with her new popcorn toy and then we tried the new Tadoodles markers.

I tried to show Nola but she kept throwing them at the paper...she did try a little and got some green on the carpet. Good thing they are washable!

Nola picking up the markers...she's done!

Okay one more try!

We also bought another baby gate for the kitchen so we could let Nola roam around from the den to the kitchen and not have to worry about her falling down stairs.

BIG MISTAKE!

Now she gets into the cabinets!

"What? I just want a snack!"

This is Nola pushing her new toy until she sees her Dad outside...then it's all over!

Skylar's First Birthday!

Today while Uncle Brian & Jay worked on the dirt in the back yard, Nola & I got ready for her friend Skylar's birthday party. Sorry, but Nola looks so adorable in this outfit!
I had to show her off!

My little southern belle

Here is Skylar on her rocking horse..this girl has every toy ever made.

They have a built in pool, but since I didn't bring my bathing suit, Nola only went into the kid pool and stayed on the swing and slide. I could only get pictures of the swing where she was strapped in. She LOVES the swing these days!

I met this lady, can't even remember her name, but Nola dove into her arms because she had food in front of her. I promise I am working on manners. HAHA!

Chef Moms & BBQ at Dana & Alex's

Our new friends Keli and Ashley held chef moms this month. This is when a few moms get together , make a themed food , talk and the kids play. The theme was summer salads so I made my MIL's pasta salad. Everyone liked it!When we got there Nola went right over to Ashley's toys and started playing. She LOVES older girls (Ashley is almost 3) and wants to do whatever they do. The older girls don't always like it...so when Nola got in the balls, Ashley got out!

Nola rocking out on the piano!

Ashley after she stood on the desk to turn on her Dora ATM. I think she was paying Nola for sweeping her room. SO cute!

Ashley posing! She kept jumping on her bed and Nola just kept staring at her. I'll let y'all know if she starts jumping in her crib. HAHA!

Thanks girls! We had a great time!

After nap and tutoring, we got ready to go to Dana & Alex's for a BBQ!

"Mom, LET ME OUTA HERE!"

She loves sitting in her chair...I think it's a sign!

Awwww!

Once we got to Dana & Alex's and Nola got comfortable, she went right for the food. This is her first raw carrot stick. She did really well but her outfit is covered in orange!

Dana is due with her first child October 20th! Thanks guys for such a fun time. I haven't laughed that hard in a really long time! We love hanging out with y'all and can't wait to do it again!

Playdate with Rosie Joe & Aunt Christine

Today Christine & Rose came over for talking, playing & eating. We took the girls to the cute park in Denville.

I'm still scared to let Nola go on the big slide by herself so here we are.
Wheeeeeeeeeee!

And we're safe!

Nola loved the tunnel!

"Come on Rosie, you can do it!"

"Rosie, it's really not as scary as it looks. If I can do it, anyone can!"

"Oh, okay maybe next time!"

"Mom, it's hot and I'm hungry!"
"Mmmm. Just what I needed!"
After the park we headed to Heritage Grill for a quick lunch.
Thanks girls!
We had a great time today!
