Christmas Eve!

Every year in our neighborhood we all put out candles in front of our house.
It always looks amazing when everyone does it!

Our yearly tradition for Christmas Eve starts with Santa coming to our neighborhood on the fire truck to hand out presents to all the kids.

This year the Danas, Atwells and Egans came to see Santa as well.

Nola & Carlye

Waiting...it seemed like forever!

Finally they came!

Everyone hurried to get in line for Santa!

Carlye did very well on Santa's lap!

Nola not so good...she needed me next to her!

Thanks Santa...maybe next year Nola will be a little braver!

After Santa, we headed down to Uncle Rob's for dinner. This year we also went to the Raffertys to say hi. Thanks to everyone for a great time! Merry Christmas!

Hanging Out with the Foxes!

We finally got together with the Foxes right before Christmas!
Look how big Sara got!

She is still happy as ever!

Thanks for the ornament guys!
We can't wait to make it!

Nola & Sara

"Come on let's play before they put us to bed!"

Nola has been taking pictures lately...I think she is almost ready for a Cannon!

Another one of Nola's pics! Smile Sara!

Say cheese!

"Work it girl!"

"I think I'm ready for bed!"

"Merry Christmas!"

Christmas Break!

On the last day before Christmas break we did an Academic Bowl where the kids were split into team and they had to answer questions about each subject. My team of course was the Tigers!

I told my team to where purple and gold and some of the kids went all out!

We also didn't win, but that seemed to be the theme of the Tigers this year!

At lunch time I went to Nola's school as she was finishing up her party!

This is Jack & Sydney. Jack seems to be the new Chester. She talks about him constantly and when I ask who's in her class she tells me Sydney & Jack.
Thanks Ms. Sue & Ms. Ashley!

"Wanna a Bite Wanna a Bite....Sike!"

After I picked Nola up from school she came back to my school for the rest of the academic bowl. The kids LOVED her and she LOVED them. She wasn't even looking for me. After school we had our newspaper party and I thought it would be funny to stage Nola behind the pizza. She didn't eat it all...I think she only had a bite!

Let It Snow!

Before

Jay is always wishing for me to stay home and not be ratting the streets and this weekend his wish came true. The only thing that can keep me home is bad weather....And the snow was coming! They were calling for 2 feet some places...wow! South Jersey got a lot of snow but we only got about 8 inches!

Saturday night we stayed in and watched the snow fall. It was beautiful. We also made our first ginger bread house as a family!

Here is what is was supposed to look like

It started off really good, despite the few mishaps in the beginning!
For example, while Jay was mixing the icing we heard a pop and then smoked followed....it broke our mixer. HAHA Then we heard another POP and SPRINKLE! Sure enough Nola opened a bag of the candies that went EVERYWHERE!
What fun!

STILL HAVING FUN!

Jay did the icing while Nola & I decorated.

Here is our finished product!

Side view!

This was a great idea!

"Yep, the candy was tasty too!"

Then a little while later we heard a crash....our roof fell off!
Well, it was fun while it lasted!

For those of you who don't know....my husband's new hobbie is smoking...No not cigarettes...he calls himself the MEAT KING!

Y'all know I don't eat pork..but I LOVE his pulled pork!
DELICIOUS!

This is our elf, Chocolate, (named by Nola of course). His job is to watch Nola and report to Santa nightly and let him know if she has been good or bad. He returns every morning in a new spot and Nola has to find him. He leaves after Christmas and returns at Thanksgiving!

Jay baked for our cookie exchange this year. He made chipster topped brownies.
They were yummy! Thanks Jay!

Sunday afternoon the Atwells came over to play in the snow and eat dinner!

"Are we ready girls?"

Best Friends!

Snow fight!

Nola's sled getting good use!

Here we go!

More snow fights!

Hold on!

"Go faster Mr. Mike!"

More fun!

Getting tired!

"OK I'm done! Where's the hot chocolate?"
